Rag rugs I’ve made

I was taught how to make rag rugs by a lady called Margaret at Urchfont Manor, which used to do art and craft courses. My mum remembers cutting up rags for Granny Neale who made clippy rugs. These are the sort with a long pile like this one:

Most of the rugs I’ve made are hooked. Here are the ones we are currently using:

The names we use to describe rag rugs used to depend on where you lived e.g clippy, proggy, peggies.
